It's chilly out there! When weather turns cold, it's time to fight back by sewing up some new warm gear. We want to see what awesomely cozy creations you can make, so we've teamed up with SINGER to bring you the Sew Warm Contest!
The rules are simple: make a new Instructable that shows how to sew up something to fight the cold, and publish it before the contest ends. There's no limit to the function, or materials used in your project. Sewing is required, either with a sewing machine or by hand with a needle and thread.
We have some fantastic prizes to give away, including a Futura XL-550 Embroidery Machine, Singer ONE Sewing Machines, and dress forms. As an added bonus, every winner will also receive an Instructables Prize Pack that includes a t-shirt, patch, stickers, and a one-year Pro membership.
So get sewing and show us something warm and toasty! We can't wait to see what you'll make.
Multiple entries are accepted, but each entrant can only win one prize. Contest is open to entries from US, Canada [excluding Quebec], UK, China, Belgium, the Netherlands, Australia, Colombia, Germany, Switzerland, Norway, India, and Denmark<. Contest closes for entries at 11:59pm PT, December 5, 2012.
The winner(s) will be solely responsible for complying with any and all applicable statutes, laws (including, without limitation, common law, if applicable), rules and regulations and for bearing any personal income tax, VAT, withholding taxes, customs duties, or other taxes, fees, insurance, surcharges or other costs relating to receiving, claiming or collecting any prize.
Create a new Instructable that fits the guidelines outlined in the contest description above. To be eligible, Instructables must be published between Nov 14, 2012 and Dec 5, 2012 (11:59pm PT).
Upon publishing your Instructable you'll see checkboxes for open contests. Select Sew Warm Contest. If you have entries currently eligible for entry, it will also show up by clicking "Enter this Contest" on the right side of this page.
Entries are accepted by Instructables staff within one business day Monday - Friday. What matters is the submission time, not acceptance time.
A panel of judges made up of Instructables staff and respected members of the community rate the finalists. The averages of the ratings determine the winners.
When the winners are decided they will be notified and announced here on the contest page.
