Overview

If you're into making things, then you've probably made a toy or few for some kids you know. Or even yourself! Even if you haven't we're sure that you have some great playful ideas and so we've teamed up with Craftsman and 123D for this Toy Contest to see them.

This contest is open to any new Instructable that involves toys whether it's a whole new design of your own or a modification to an existing toy. As long as it's fun we'd love to see it!

Need some software to make a 3D file? Check out all the free 123D apps and Tinkercad to get started!

The best entry will win a sweet new MakerBot® Replicator® 2 Desktop 3D Printer, for printing out lots of amazing toys in the future.

So get going, make or modify a toy by July 8, 2013. We can't wait to see what it is.

Grand Prize

Grand Prize (1 winner)

One grand prize winner will receive a 123D Premium membership bundle, including a MakerBot® Replicator® 2 Desktop 3D Printer that comes with an exclusive face plate and build plate. Print huge 3D objects with its 410 cubic inch build volume.

The winner will also receive an Instructables Prize Pack with a t-shirt, Pro membership, and more.

First Prize (3 winners)

Three first prize winners will receive a $500 voucher for 3D printing at their choice of Shapeways, i.materialise, or Sculpteo. Make your designs real with several different available 3D printing options such as plastic, ceramic, or stainless steel.

Second Prize (10 winners)

Ten second prize winners will receive a $100 voucher for 3D printing at their choice of Shapeways, i.materialise, or Sculpteo. Make your designs real with several different available 3D printing options such as plastic, ceramic, or stainless steel.
How It Works

Write an Instructable

Create a new Instructable that fits the guidelines outlined in the contest description above. To be eligible, Instructables must be published between May 27, 2013 and Jul 8, 2013 (11:59pm PT).

Accepting

Entries are accepted by Instructables staff within one business day Monday - Friday. What matters is the submission time, not acceptance time.

Judging

A panel of judges made up of Instructables staff and respected members of the community rate the finalists. The averages of the ratings determine the winners.
