I bought a home screen printing kit from an art store but I'm having trouble with a few things and they are: The instructions said to use a 150watt incandescent bulb 12 inches from the screen for 45 minutes. I thought 45 minutes was awfully long so I bought a 300watt bulb and exposed it for 23 minutes. My initial design which was 3 letters at a very large font worked out pretty good but it took an awfully long time to spray out design, it probably took me 10 minutes. I thought the 23 minutes was okay so I used the same time with my next design which had smaller text well my smaller text never washed out even though it looked like it was burned in. I went up to 30 minutes, then 35 minutes, then 40 minutes and I'm still having trouble washing out designs with small letter text. Should I be cooking my screen for longer than 45 minutes? Second question is, when I'm actually swiping my screen does the type of squeegee I use matter? I swiped a few shirts and I'm still not getting a consistant print each time. I'm not clamping my screen down so I know my DIY method is really dirty but I expected better results, should I expect less? Thanks

Creative types may be curious to learn how to make rubber bracelets. If you are able to follow simple directions you will be able to produce your very own ones for personal use or to give as a gift. Whether for yourself or a as a gift, it will be a great way to secure your keys, cell phone, badge, or whistle. In learning how to make lanyards it is important to choose the right material. A popular making material is a thin, elastic, and flexible plastic lace. It is readily available at most craft stores and referred to as craft lace, , gimp, or boondoggle. There are many different stitches that can be used to make or braid . Many braiding techniques are complex and time consuming. One of the simpler braids is referred to as a crown (or round) knot. One must utilize patience and follow directions carefully in learning how to make rubber wristbands. The basic crown knot is as follows:1. Take two strands of craft lace, fold them in half together (length will depend on the type of lanyard) and tie a knot toward the top to hold them securely together. You now have four strands secured at the top. 2. Spread the four strings apart, separately, pointing in each cardinal direction of a compass. Hold the left string with one finger (close to the knot). At the same time, pull the left string over the top string. 3. Cross the top string over the right string. At this point the top string is covering both the left string and the right string. Now cross the right string over the bottom string. Finally, cross the bottom string over the left string and tuck it under the looped top string. Pull each end of the four strings extremely tight to make the first knot. Continue crossing the strings in the same manner until the desired length is reached. The knots will produce a rounded href="http://Www.ybuw.com" target="_blank">silicone bracelets4. Do you think it a good way to make a gift to convey your sincere feelings? So, let’s do it now!

I accidentally melted a hole in my carpet when a lamp fell over. The carpet store said they could fix it for a huge pile of money. I don't know how they were planning on fixing it. If I knew the "right" way of doing it, I could probably do it myself. Any ideas?

I had a bunch of fresh herbs, and some home-distilled 180 proof alcohol that a friend brewed. SO, I thought I'd try to make some smelly stuff. I packed a jar with the fresh herbs, and filled it with the alcohol, plus a little tad bit of water. I let it sit for two weeks, and now it's ready to be strained. BUT, I'm not sure what to do with it. Do I use it to make a perfume, room spray, body spray? Can I use it to make an essential oil? Is what I now have called an herbal extract? One jar is fresh sage and rosemary, Jar 2 is rose geranium leaves and rose petals, Jar 3 is lemon verbena, and Jar 4 is lavendar and sage. All advice is welcome!
I am working in our basement and I want to keep all space as open as possible to accomodate at pool table. It does not have to be very large. I am thinking some sort of a hinge system?

I am not enjoying cleaning up the mess. Does anyone know how I can stop them from using the floor and continue to encourage them in using their trays........

I bought a manual from Aqua-luna.org about making solar panels. I feel like I've been misled. The first two solar panel technologies are not viable for home power generation. The screen printed PV panels may be. There were listings of materials and a copy of patent application along with some hand written notes. Not much else. I need to know how to layout the collectors that are printed on the substrate (glass) how to mix the materials that are being screen printed etc. I would be helpful to have a ball park figure on the output so that I could determine if it will be cost effective. I have fabrication and screen printing facilities and will be making panels for personal use. I need a 3-5 kw system (big I know)

I was think what was better? a Small tank with a higher pressure? or a large tank with a Lower Pressure? Of coarse if you had a small tank you gun would look better. This is how air rifles work... you break the barrel (push it down) and that push a pump in to a small tank at a high PSI, Thats why its hard to break the barrel. I was also thinking that if you had a Higher PSI in the air resivour it would release quicker?!. What do you think?

Hello. I started working with metals, stones and beads in the summer. I think I am ready to solder as I am tired of some pieces falling apart. I make large jump rings and need to solder them. I saw the instruction on soldering on this website and bought all the tools today. I suppose I am a bit nervous about working with a flame. Could anyone share their experiences when they started to solder? Thanks. Tracey
