I am trying to build an AC arc welder from transformers. I need to know how many amps, volts and watts a normal microwave transformer outputs because i am trying to use different transformers, as i don't have two microwaves on hand. -Thank You

What kind projects can I make with this BIG transformer and its other parts? ONEAC Power Conditioner transformer
Hey... I'm new here and I will like to say that I like many of the cool things people are doing in this site and I will like try making some of your ideas someday...And thanks for posting them... =) . Ok I have a power conditioner that has a big transformer and I wanted to know what I can make with it. This is the spec on the unit - BRAND is- ONEAC model# CS1110 its 50/60 HZ 1 phase. Power input 120 VAC 8.8amp Output 120 VAC 8.4 amp . Its a really heavy piece. What I will like to do is make a spot welder since I need one but I'm not sure if I can use this transformer to make it. maybe an Induction heater,Welder, I'm in for experimenting with something new...I don't want to take this apart yet until I know what can be made with it first because I know it may be worth alot more if I just sell it. I seen alot of cool things done made with transformers..Any suggestion and ideas will be appreciated . Here are the pics. thanks

I have an old cordless Makita drill the water guy left at our house 15 years ago, I found in my shed with the charger :-). The battery is pretty much completely dead, and I don't want to buy a new $40 one or zap it with a welder. How can I turn it into a Corded drill or use a different battery with it? It is the kind that stores the battery in the handle. 9.6V Battery.

Hello! I need step by step instructions which shows how to build a hydro power system. I have to do this for a small hostel in the mountains. It needs to make 12v atleast and will use a alternator.I will need lots of help from you guys to build it all.Particulatly on the runner(what type for best efficiency, how to build it, cost, tools)and on the housing for the turbine(what material to use,it will have to be very durable and strong).I am an electronics expert so no need to explain to me what is what. Include a circuit which can charge a 12v battery bank . I am aware how a rectifier can be used to convert the alternator's AC to DC.I would like the rectifier circuit too.Added bonus if you show me how to make a housing for the turbine. Also I would like a homemade charge controller circuit too.The controller will have to have dump load options as well.If you can give a good way to water proof the whole thing... Kudos to you I will need all the plans for this project Alternator, Charge controller ,Blades, How to best wire battery bank etc. Please explain what materials to use etc. And please be aware this will be a rather low budget project.I prefer maximum efficiency and please do not worry yourself about where i will get flowing water etc.And please post your own pics if possible. It may not be possible for me to use power tools and a welder,I prefer simple tools, if not, no problem.
