Intro: Drumstick Grips That Stick to Your Stand

this instructable covers 2 things.....sticks slipping out of your hands and never having extra close to you for when thay brake.

P.S. i woud not recomend puting these on the shell

STEP 1: Things Youl Need...

okay i forgot to take a picture of this so thats why Jason Varitek comes on your screen.
youll need;
2 colors of electric tape (or  one it doesnt really matter)
strong sissors
sticky back velcro
drumstick
hands (evan if its somone elses)

STEP 2: Rapping the Sticks

start at the botom of the sticks and rap up. you only need to go up less than haf way. do this on the other stick.

STEP 3: Second Layer

just do that. go over it a second time. or third. or forth. just as many as you need.

STEP 4: Cutting the Velcro

cut 4 little rectangely things. 2 of each kind.try to keep them the same size.

STEP 5: Adding Velcro (to the Stick)

put the strips just on top of the grip.put the fuzzy side on one stick and the non fuzzy  side on the other.

STEP 6: Adding Velcro (to the Stand)

put the strips so that the sticks stick to the stand WITHOUT touching the simbal. now you have stick grips that stick to you and the stand!

STEP 7: Step 7

there is no step 7.......but is a cool picture of a squirrell...

dude this is just stupid. id rather spend the $20 on a stick holder rather than compromising performance just because you think your too cool just to set your sticks down on your snare when your done.

I think the idea behind this was a clever way to keep an extra pair of sticks nearby for when you drop, break, or somehow lose a stick while playing.

That said, I like the concept. I'm not sure if that small bit of velcro would hold the stick on for very long, but that might just be the way I play. Perhaps attaching a flat plate of velcro somewhere would give you more surface area and a better hold.

Anybody who reads cares. Seriously, people keep telling you to spell better but you're not listening! It looks horrible when you spell like that, and it's basically unreadable.
