Introduction: Duct Tape Case for Nintendo DS Lite
make a great case for youn NDS or other electronic device easily out of nothing more than denim fabric and duct tape.
Step 1: Get Your Materials
gather needed materials.
1. duct tape
2. denim/ other heavy but not scratchy material.
3. NDS
4. self adhesive velcro (optonal)
Step 2: Cut Denim to Size
lay your nds on the fabric and cut out a suitably sized length of fabric. slightly wider than the ds and long enouth to wrap around.
Step 3: Cover Denim in Tape, Cut to Actual Size
cover one side of the denim in duct tape. cut so that it is exactly the same width as the ds
Step 4: "hem" Edges
fold tape over all the edges.
Step 5: Make Sides.
attach two pieces and fold over to create the pocket as shown. make sure ds fits comfortably and snugly. add tape to inside to keep it from popping up like in the pic.
Step 6: Trim Length
put ds into the pocket and wrap remaining length around. trim to desired length. i left mine long to wrap around the back so i can add pockets for games later. hem that edge with tape also. cover inside flap with tape if desired.
Step 7: Add Velcro
stick velcro to flap and pocket to hold it shut.
Step 8: Finished!
your case is finished. it is easily customizable. add pockets, designs, whatever.

This is cool. I will definitely make this. The only downside is that duct tape smells bad....but then again, it is nearly free!

yeah it smells bad but why would you even think of sniffing your ds case lol

That is undeniably cool, though I would have made a full pocket on the bottom instead of a flap. Extra work, yes, but it would hold your games better. Or maybe just tape an Altoids gum tin to the top/bottom of the case to hold 8, 9, maybe 10 games.
