Intro: Even More Knex Frag Grenades

some more grenades using two kinder egg capsules and loads of little green bits.
when thrown with force explodes everywhere great for throwing at people coming up the stairs!

STEP 1: Get the Pieces

you'll need 2 kinder egg capsules (both from the same side with the rim on) about 35-40 green rods (or however many you can cram in) and an elastic band

STEP 2: Make the Grenade

fill both ends with green rods then (this bits quite tricky until you get used to making them) put both ends togeather and put an elastic band around them.

the elastic band needs to be just the right tension otherwise the grenade will either fall apart or never fall apart so you might have to test a few different bands.

STEP 3: Your Done

youve finished happy grenading

here are some guns i made the first one is a sniper rifle that didnt work verry well and the second is a really good sniper/shotgun i might post it but it depends on what pplz say wether they want me to post or not.

what you could do is get a black cat (firecracker, not the animal) with the green fuses and put it in the middle  and poke a whole in the shell for the fuse to stick out and light it before you throw it

that would be cool if you could find a way to make the shotgun/sniper shoot out those mini grenades. that would be awesome.

i have made a grenade launcher that launches those but its too powerfull i promised a few people on instructables that it would be made by jan feb08 but its tking too long to mod so i might just scrap the idea.

dude.... there is no such thing as too powerful. what did you use? how did you make it? don't go into detail just the overall stuff like, air compression or spring powered you know..

its too powerfull because it destroys the capsule before it even leaves the barrel/launcher its made out of knex with about 7-8 rubber bands on

You can just mod it to shoot rods instead. You don't have to have it as the grenade launcher.

Hmmm... they are not THAT great, but the grenade is smaller than any other and MIGHT work good.

its a modified block trigger its got a pulley and some string because i wanted to make a true style trigger but didnt want to make a complicated design as the block trigger is the easiest and probably the strongest but if quite a few people ask me i will make an instructable on the gun its quite powerfull but at the moment its shit cause all my elastic bands have snapped.
