Intro: Get Free Videos and Flash Games Off Any Website

-NOTE- i am not liable for what illegal troubles or problems you get into by using this instructable it is for informational purposes only!

in this instructable i will show you how to get videos and flash games off any site on internet explorer

STEP 1: Step 1

first open internet explorer

STEP 2: Next Go to Your Favorite Video Site

good sites to get vids off are: youtube, veoh, myspacetv, metacafe, etc etc

STEP 3: Next Load Your Video

make sure you load it fully or you will not be able to get it

STEP 4: Next Click Tools

then scroll down to internet options and click on it

STEP 5: Step 5

a window like this should pop up scroll to the settings button under browsing history and click it

STEP 6: Now Another Window Should Pop Up

when in this window scroll to and click the view files button by the view objects button

STEP 7: Now the You Should Be in the Temporary Internet Files Folder

note this file was the file i loaded from youtube files from other sites will be a little different i will show you files from other sites soon

STEP 8: While in the Temporary Internet Files Copy the File That Was the Video

while in the temporary internet files copy the file that was the video using cntrl+c and paste it into any place on your computer using cntrl+v

after its copied to a place on you computer rename it whatever you want to call it .flv

eg. random-file.flv

STEP 9: The Random File You Copied Should Now Turn Into a .flv File

see picture

STEP 10: Now That You Have Your Video Its Time to Get Some Converters

you will need a converter to change your .flv file to an .avi, .mp4 or a video file of your choice. if you dont have a converter just search google for an "flv to avi converter" or "flv to mp4 converter"

i personally recommend super

STEP 11: Next Just Wait for Your Converter to Convert Your Video

if the video is successfully converted you can now watch it on your computer, put on an ipod, mp4 player, etc etc

STEP 12: Okay Now Back to Step 7 Except This Is for Videos Off Other Sites

the file that you are searching for here which is off other video sites other than youtube eg. videos off myspace.

anyway the file you are looking for is already an .flv file so you dont need to rename it .flv once you have copied it to your computer after you have copied it to your computer just convert it and your done

STEP 13: Now This File Here Is and .swf File

most converters usually cant convert these files but luckly very rarely will you get a file like this off a video site

STEP 14: Ok Now That You Know How to Get Videos This Is How to Get Flash Games

this part of the instructable uses exactly the same method as how to get the videos except for a few differences

STEP 15: Ok Now Open Up Internet Explorer

lol dejavu

STEP 16: Ok Now Just Like the Video You Must Load the Flash Game Fully

this is me loading heli attacck3

STEP 17: Next Click Tools

now scroll down and click on internet options

STEP 18: Now the Internet Options Box Will Pop Up

scroll down to settings and click it just like the picture

STEP 19: Next Click View Files

lol i changed the game cos i couldnt be stuffed waiting for heli attack 3 to load

STEP 20: Now That You Are in the Temporary Internet Files You May Need to Go Searching

look for a .sfw file that is from your site that you loaded the game from its possible that it is the last swf file from your site if you cant find it look for your file that has the site name beside it or in the file information as showin in the picture

STEP 21: Now Copy Your Game From the Temporary Internet Files to Your Computer

see image

STEP 22: Now You May Need an Executable Version of Flash

check if you need the .exe version of flash by double clicking your game that you just got and seeing if it opens with your flash player if it doesnt work you may need the executable thing

note: if you would like me to upload the executable file for you on megaupload.com so you can use it just leave a comment on this instructable and i will try and upload it for you once i do i will comment back on this instructable

STEP 23: This Step of the Instructabe Is Only If You Need the Executable Thing If You Dont Then Continue to Step 24

ok once you have the executable thing just drag your game that you got into it and it will open it so you can play it

STEP 24: Congratulations

sorry if it isnt clear on what to do this is my first instructable please comment on what you thought of it

You are right, Thank you

I have Vista, and this isn't working for me(I can't find the files I want!). If anyone can please help?
stop using MS paint and stop using IE, use real programs..(so much easier to do this in Safaria Opera and even Firefox)
its never in my internet files :( and i've tried searching but when it comes up with the results it just has jpegs and broken links
this doesnt work with the newer flash 10, it doesnt actually allow a video to be stored in the temp file instead it just plays the video using the embedded player without putting a copy on the computer
this is awesome thanks much apreciated :))
what about Firefox? can i get games from it? and what about other version of games like the one played with shockwave?
for how to get games on firefox read lemonshark10's comment below and as for shockwave and stuff i dont know how to do that im still trying to figure out how to get them (if you even can)
oh okay i'm get it. i understand what he talking about. he says: "then in the adress bar type "about:cache" of course without the quotes" just type -> about:cache and look the files. ok. what i asking for is what program needed to open shockwave games?
oh, and after typing in about:cache in the adress bar, just click "list cache entries" under "disk cache device" line, and click the link of the filename, or go to cache directory using windows explorer writed under the "disk cache device......... oh wait........ i dont understand it myself......... theres no video or flash files....... well i dont know... :-/
if only this worked in a way for fire fox because i hate ie
it does. just open up a new tab after the games load. then in the adress bar type "about:cache" of course without the quotes. then look for the same files as mentioned in this instructable.
i can't believe i never knew that. Great job, and thanks.
