Har Gaw Soup
Intro: Har Gaw Soup
a soup I made with leftovers
STEP 1: Find Ingredients
I found:
6 pieces of har gaw (dumplings) from the Chinese takeout
6 pieces of har gaw (dumplings) from the Chinese takeout
STEP 2: Water or Stock in Pot
heat liquid in saucepan.
STEP 3: Add Flavor.
I used a few slices of ginger.
STEP 4: Add Dumplings
I added a piece of chili for a little heat.
STEP 5: Simmer
you can add soy sauce if u like but I just added some fresh cracked pepper and salt.
STEP 6: Add Herbs
I used Chinese parsley since it goes well with ginger. you can use scallions, chives or whatever suits your taste.
STEP 7: Serve
I ate it with mantao(steamed bread) but you can it it solo though.

Leftover dumplings are magnificent. It's as though they reconstitute to perfection. Thanks for sharing your recipe!

You're welcome. And you're right. It's steamed so it can still give off some flavor to the soup.
