Step 1: Enter Dfu Mode

Step 2: Run Redsnow

run redsnow and go into the menus
extras>even more>restore
then follow the instructions

the firmwares are in a .ipsw format

my iphone 3gs had ios 5.1.1 on it and it was slow, when i had 4.1 on it, it was fast sooo downgrades
