Intro: How to Make a 3D Printable USB Holder

At my house we have lots of flashdrives everywhere. So i made a 3D printable USB holder to gather them on the desk.

STEP 1: Draw a Triangular Base

First, draw a triangle with a straight angle.I made the base 30 mm, the other sides will automatically have the same size (21.21mm)

STEP 2: Extrude the Shape to 100 Mm

Extrude it for 100mm and rotate it.

STEP 3: Draw the USB Fittings

Add a rectangle with the size of 4.5mm x 12mm to the sides, this is the size of a USB.

STEP 4: Extrude the Rectangular Fitting for 8 Mm

Extrude the rectangle for -8mm, the USB will certainly fit in.

STEP 5: Repeat on the Other Side and Use "pattern"

Do the same on the other side and with the tool "pattern" you can repeat over the entire length of the base.

STEP 6: Use "fillet" to Smoothen the Edges

With the tool "fillet" you can smoothen the edges and finalise the USB-holder.

Neat way to organize flash drives! I'd print it if I had a printer.

Just a tip if you are entering the 123D contest. You should give some detail about where the tools are, and how exactly they function. Part of the contest is the ability to help others understand how to use the CAD software. I think that will give you better chances of winning.

Cool idea, good luck if you enter it into the contest :)
