Introduction: $3 & 3 Steps Laptop Stand (with Reading-glasses & Pen Tray)

This $3 & 3 steps laptop stand can be made within 5 minutes. It's very strong, light weight, and can be folded to take with wherever you go!

Step 1: Step 1: Tools & Diagram

You need:
- Cooler Rack & Folding Stand(I got it at Asian houseware store for $1.99)
- Two pliers (to bend rack legs)

Optional plastic tube protectors(for join-spots & feet), you need:
- one pair scissors
- 2Ft. Proline 3/16" I.D. X 5/16" O.D.(I got it at hardware store for $1), about straw size.

Step 1:
Unhook one side of the rack leg and remove.

Step 2: Rehook Up the Rack Leg

Step 2:
Flip over and rehook the leg up on the top of the rack(on the same spot)and squeeze it tight with pliers to secure.

Step 3: Done!

Step 3:
Bend "up-leg" down into the bottom rack edge{make sure the legs(front feet) inserted behind the bottom bar, to add more support for the stand}. Well, the stand is done!

Step 4: Optional

It may take another 5 minutes to finish the tube cutting job for the protective join-spots & feet, so the laptop and your furniture won't be scratched. I use the clear Proline plastic pipe to cover the join-spots & the feet, it's almost invisible.
Cutting Proline plastic pipe:
- Cut 6 pieces of 1.5 inch tube, then split each tube from top to bottom. 4 of the tubes for stand's join-spots(cut them across too, so it can fit onto the join-spot easily), use the other 2 tubes for the wire cover(only split those 2 top to bottom).
- Cut 4 pieces of 1 inch tube for the stand's feet(just split them top to bottom).
Now, use the tubes to cover the join-spots and feet. Done!

Step 5: Final Touch

Set your laptop on the stand, the front is a perfect tray for reading-glasses & pens. If you take your laptop on the go a lot, just fold the leg and you're off!
Enjoy!
