Step 1: Step 1: the First Piece

Take seven of the 1-inch wooden cubes and assemble them according to the pictures. Then glue the formation together and set aside.

Step 2: Step 2: the Second Piece

Take five more 1-inch wooden cubes and assemble them according to the set of pictures above.  Glue these together also and set them aside to dry.

Step 3: Step 3: the Third Piece

Take four more of the 1-inch cubes and assemble them in a Z pattern, as shown in the pictures above.  Glue the pieces together and set them aside.

Step 4: Step 4: the Fourth Piece

Take 3 of the 1-inch cubes and assemble them as shown in the picture above.  Glue them together and set them aside to dry.

Step 5: Step 5: the Fifth Piece

Take four of the remaining cubes and assemble them in an L shape, as shown above.  Glue them together and let them dry.

Step 6: Step 6: the Sixth Piece

Take the four remaining cubes and glue them together as shown above.  Then let all six pieces dry for about 20 minutes.

Step 7: Step 7: Color the Pieces

Take the six pieces and color them using the markers.  While the colors do not matter, it is recommended to make each piece a different color.  After they are colored, allow them to sit for ten minutes while the ink dries.

Step 8: Step 8: Assemble Pieces 1 and 2

After everything is dried, take pieces 1 and 2.  Place them together so the center outsticking cube of Piece 2 fits in the gap of Piece 1, as shown in the picture above.

Step 9: Step 9: Assemble Piece 3

Take piece three and place it horizontally into one of the two possible positions that allow it to be only in the second layer of blocks, as shown in the instructions above.

Step 10: Step 10: Assemble Piece 4

Take piece four and place it in the remaining emply slots of the second level, so that the third cube is in the center of the outer row of the third level, as shown in the picture above.

Step 11: Step 11: Assemble Piece 5

Take piece 5 and lay flat so the hook part of the L is directly across from the upsticking part of piece 4, as shown in the picture above.

Step 12: Step 12: the Final Piece

The last step is to take piece 6 and place it in the remaining space, as shown in the image above.

Congratulations!  Your puzzle cube is complete!

nice, gonna do with dice, each side with same spot number :), thx

If you coordinate the spot numbers, you may be making it easier to solve. If this will be solved by a young child or a beginner solver, that may be a good thing. If you want it to be a challenge, I would avoid the 'spot clues'.
