Step 1: Tools & Materials
To create the floppy disk CD & DVD case, you will need: 1 5.25 inch floppy disk, 1 CD or DVD, and scissors. That is all.
Step 2: Cut the Disk
First, you cut carefully along the edge of the disk which goes first into the computer. Cut off just enough to open the end of the disk.
Step 3: Remove the Internal Disk
Simply grasp and pull out the brown disk inside, but leave the cotton alone. The cotton will help protect your CD once the case is done.
Step 4: Make It Look Realistic
Make it look realistic by taking the leftover brown disk and cutting two small rectangles out of it. Next, glue those rectangles on the inside of the two rectangular holes in the disk. This will also help protect the CD from scratches. Now, once the glue dries, insert your disk.
Step 5: Label It/Conclusion
Take one of the labels that came with your floppy disk/disks, and label the case with what CD or DVD it contains. You have just made a neat retro CD and DVD case! I hope you enjoyed this, and please vote for me in the ShopBot contest if you liked this!
