Intro: 7 Digit Arduino LED Matrix Binary Counter

This project was developed by using an Arduino nano & a 5x7 LED Matrix with its pins 7, 10, 3, 1 for common cathodes to Arduino pins 9, 6, 17(A3) & 19(A5) respectively while anodes matrix pins 12, 11, 2, 9, 4, 5 & 6 to Arduino pins 4, 5, 18(A4), 7, 16, 15 & 14 correspondingly.

Step 1: Bill of Materials

1 Arduino Nano

1 5x7 LED Matrix (LJ7071-22)

1 USB-mini to USB-A Cable

Step 2: 5x7 LED Matrix Configuration

Check the configuration of your 5x7 LED Matrix and as its pins are distributed.

Step 3: Preparing the Installation of Your 5x7 LED Matrix

Before installing the 5x7 LED Matrix, prepare the area with a pair of pieces of foam tape two sides glue.

Step 4: Install the 5x7 LED Matrix

Insert the 5x7 LED Matrix in your Arduino nano by observing how you should join the pins from 5x7 LED Matrix to the Arduino nano.

Step 5: Complete the Project
