Intro: AIR PURIFYING LAMP

This is an amazing air purifying lamp which fights against the invisible pollutants, the enemy that affects our health, especially to the people who are allergic. Besides it improves the quality of the environment in house.

Not to mention it's a perfect mate at night and a great accessory too! You must have one of these!

Step 1: WHAT YOU’LL NEED

For the box:

- 4 Triplay's pieces (37x21cm and 2 of (21x21cm)

- Black Painting in aerosol

- Silicone

- Pins

- Hammer

- Drill

- Mica sheet

-2 hinges

-A metal brooch

For the purifier:

- Wires

- 2 computer fans ( 12 volt)

- Activated Coal

- Plug

- Switch

For the light:

- Sketch/Arduino

- Light led

- Sound sensor

Step 2: MAKING THE BOX

At the beginning, it is necessary to have 6 pieces of plywood with their respective measurements (4 of 37 x 21 cm and 2 of 21 x 21 cm.). With the help of the cutting machine, the design of the tree and the square will be cut in the respective two pieces of plywood of 37x21 cm. The other one that has the same measurement and two squares of 8x8 cm. Before this, it is necessary to design the forms of the structure in the "Corel Draw" program. Finally, it is time to join the pieces as a rectangular prism; leaving a plywood of 37x21 cm (this piece must be joined at the end with the use of 2 hinges and a metal brooch)

Step 3: PURIFIER

Both of the computer fans of 12 (twelve) volts, possess a black (negative) wire and (positive) red one; which are unified by another wire of broader thickness; with the soldering iron weld the wires and protected by a tape. This procedure repeats itself with the wire that has the corresponding entry for the plug carrier and with the switch.

In order to make the activated carbon filter, it is necessary to put granulated activated carbon in a mesh; This, traps compounds, mainly organic and quickly purifies the installation in which it is present.

Step 4: A MAGIC LIGHT

For this the Arduino program is necessary to be able. It is placed in the sketch, the sound sensor with the jumper wires in the respective black pins. And finally, the led light is placed on the black pins, where the cables are not found.

Step 5: JOINING EVERYTHING

The computer fans are placed in the square (8x8 cm) of the triplay (37x21 cm). And it is necessary to fix with silicone in order to they don’t move. Also, two holes will be made by the drill (a circular and different rectangular one) in the low part of the triplay to be able to plug the ventilators and the switch stays out.

The light led will be inside the box placed in the surface of the triplay of 21 x 21 cm. In a triplay of 37x21 cm. That possesses a frame places the corrospum that will be used as filter and the activated coal behind this one; in addition to this, in the part of below in the frame, we will make a holes of the same size of the previous one (here the charger of the led light will be connected to illuminate the tree). Now the box can be closed with nails and silicone in the joints of each plywood to avoid that in any way the unfiltered air escapes. To check if it works, the plug with transformer is connected to the cable entry of the purifier and the same one to the input of the led light with sensors.

Step 6: CONCLUSIONS

This was a fun and easy project to do if you follow the steps as you should.

On the other hand, it was necessary to understand the need to have an air purifier in their homes, due to all the allergic diseases that occur due to the polluting particles present in the air; and the importance of aesthetics in any project that is carried out.
