Aged Dark Brotherhood Tenets

Today I will show you how to create an aged, old looking paper showcasing the Five Tenets of the Dark Brotherhood as they were in the Elder Scrolls: Skyrim.

In this tutorial you will need:

1 Piece of Paper

Coffee(The stronger the better)

Two Treys(One will go in the oven the other will not)

Tongs

Handheld Lighter

An Oven

At this time preheat the oven to 250 F

Step 1: Brew the Coffee

The type of Coffee really doesn't matter here but the quantity and strength does. In this case, I used an Italian Roast(no sweeteners), and brewed the least amount possible to concentrate the coffee more and make it stronger.

Step 2: Pour the Coffee Onto the Pan

Pour the coffee (make sure it has cooled first) into the tray that WILL NOT be placed in the oven. Only place a thin layer. Next lay the paper down on the tray, for at least 45 seconds. Then use the tongs to flip the paper over for another 45 seconds. Then place the paper onto the dry tray that WILL be placed into the oven.

Step 3: Place Paper Into Oven

Place the paper into the oven for 5 minutes. Then remove the tray from the oven and turn off the oven.

Step 4: Burn the Edges

Use the lighter to burn the edges of the paper to your liking. The lighter will give it the dark crisp on the edges of the paper.

Step 5: Write Down the Tenets!

You may now use a sharpie or another writing tool and write down the Five Tenets. The Five Tenets may be found here:

Congrats! You now have an aged replica of the Five Tenets!
