Air Compressor Filter

About: I need more space for my projects, my garage is packed. I like to make things, I've always got a project on the go.

My little air compressor took a dive in the back of my car going around a corner. I lost the filter, it snapped clean off leaving the thread in the side of the head of the pump. After extracting the thread I worked out it was just a 15mm BSP thread. I could work with that and get clean air into my tank again very cheaply.

Step 1: Method

What you'll need:

  • 15-20 or 15-25BSP threaded poly nipple
  • Pit Bike pod filter, if you have to buy one, get the one with the smallest opening, for a 50cc is best.
  • a little bit of silicone
