Introduction: Alien Ship & Glowstick Decoration

About: Sci fi reader/watcher, mom, camper, fun ideas but low on maker skills...

This is a fun sci if decoration. Sorry for the upside down photos and poor photo quality--it's my first instructable!

Step 1: Materials

2 tart pie shells
1 plastic shot glass
1 chenille stick cut in half
1 alien figure (one shown is glow in the dark, sold in pack of 12 at party supply store)
Scissors (or something else to poke holes)
Glue gun
(Glow bracelet)

Step 2: Position Alien

-Punch small holes in the middle of one tart shell for the alien's feet.
-Position the alien's feet through the holes carefully (try not to enlarge the holes too much).
-Turn the shell over and put a lot of hot glue around the feet to hold the alien in the position you want.
-Hold the alien in place until the glue hardens enough that it won't move.

Step 3: Prepare Bottom Half of "saucer."

-Punch two holes in the shell (as shown by arrows in picture).
-Feed a piece of chenille stick through the holes as shown, so that two equal length pieces poke out the bottom.
-Bend the ends as shown to create two loops (to hold a glow bracelet later).

Step 4: Prepare the Alien's Chamber and Hanger

-Poke a small hole in the top of the shot glass.
-Bend a chenille piece as shown and insert in the hole (so it will hold the ornament).
-Bend the other end of the chenille to be a hanger.

Step 5: Glue the Alien Bubble to Half the Saucer

Glue the parts together as shown.

Step 6: Attach the Saucers

Glue the saucer halves together as shown.

Step 7: Add a Glow Bracelet and You're Done!
