Sometimes, my lips get dry, and they peel, and it's sooooo not cute. So once every week or two, I indulge in a lip scrub. This is a pretty standard homemade scrub. I've seen different variations on it on the interwebz, but I like to keep things simple, and you can't get much simpler than this recipe. Hope that it works for you!

Step 1: Stuff You Gon' Need
spoon to mix
1 tablespoon of organic, unbleached sugar (not too coarse, not too fine...does it have to be organic? no)
1 teaspoon of honey
**meausrments aren't exact, but we'll get into that in a sec***
Step 2: Mixing
This is a pretty fool proof recipe. Pour honey into sugar. That's it! How much of each ingredient do you need? Well, it isn't exact an exact science. What you are looking to achieve is a thick paste.
Play around with it, but remember, a little goes a VERY long way, so don't get too excited and mix up 2 cups of this stuff trying to find the perfect consistency. You'll be left with a sticky mess and no sugar left for your neighbor when they come over asking for a cup.
Step 3: Now Scrub BABY!
Grab some of the sugar/honey mixture and start scrubbin (gently now, not too rough). Small circular motions work best. Try and keep the lips slightly taught to ensure you get all those little nooks and crannies.
Exfoliating will make them kissably soft and smooth!
Step 4: Ta Da!
Buh-bye lip dandruff! No more dry lips! Now you have the perfect canvas to apply gloss, lipstick, or even just go all natural.
