Introduction: Almond Orange Shortbread Cookies

Step 1: THE CREAMING
Preheat oven to 350 f
Cream together 3 sticks of unsalted butter and 1 cup of sugar until light and fluffy. Then add 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract and mix until well combined. Add the zest of an orange in to the bowl and combined thoroughly.
Step 2: THE COMBINING
In a another bowl sift 11/2 cups of almond flour with 2 cups of all-purpose flour and 1/4 teaspoon of salt. add to the butter mixture. Mix on low until combined.
Step 3: THE CHILLING
Dough should start to come together in the bowl so pour dough onto floured surface and shape into a disk. Chill the dough for 30 minutes in the fridge.
Step 4: THE ROLLING
Roll out dough 1/2 inch thick and use cookie cutter to cut out whatever shape you like. (I used a circle shaped one with scalloped edges).
Step 5: THE BAKING
Place cookies on an ungreased cookie sheet for 20-25 minutes or until edges or golden brown.
