Altoids Mini Survival Tin

In today instructable i will show you how to make an Altoids smalls survival tin with some of the essentials to your survival.

You will need these items.

Altoids small-empty

electrical tape

water proof matches and striker

fish hooks

fishing line

paper clip

foil

and fishing weights (optional)

Step 1: Prep the Tin

First, take your ordinary Altoids smalls tin and the electrical tape. Cover the tin with the tape making sure not to cover the bump that secures the top.

Step 2: Add the Items, Matches.

get a small box of matches. take a few out. wrap tightly in plastic wrap. cover in tape

this method is quite reliable if you don't have any waterproof matches.

next cut the striker piece of the box and tape it to the inside top of the tin.

Step 3: Add Items, Paper Clip and Fishing Line.

get any regular paperclip and cut about a 3.5 foot piece of fishing line.

Next tie one end of the line to the paperclip and wrap the line evenly around the paper clip

place paperclip on the outside edge and tape in.

Step 4: Add Items, Foil

Cut a 12 by 12 inch piece of foil and fold it up to a nice square and place in the tin

Step 5: Add Items, Weights

wrap weights and tape them in.

Step 6: Add Items, Hooks

cut some ore foil, about the same size, put hooks in the middle and pull the foil in around them.

Step 7: Finsh

once you have place your items in the tin close it and wrap it in tape!

Now you are finished.
