Every year for Thanksgiving he would make these Amazing Buttered Onion Rolls. When I was little, I thought he actually made the dough too and I envisioned him getting up in the wee hours of the morning, working all day to make them. He’d arrive at our house with 4 or 5 trays and we’d warm them up in the oven while we were putting the finishing touches on dinner.
When I eat them now, it takes me back to being a little kid, sneaking just one more roll to dip in my turkey gravy. I think Uncle Al may have allowed people to think they were made from scratch for a few years before he finally revealed his secret… frozen dinner rolls! Who knew they were so easy?
