Introduction: Amazing Lemonade

In this Instructable I will show you how to make lemonade. This lemonade recipe is easy to make and is quite amazing. A nice cold glass of lemonade on a hot summer day, is there a better way to quench your thirst? Let's get started!

Step 1: Ingredients/Tools

Ingredients:

  • 8 to 10 medium lemons
  • 8 cups of water (1.9L)
  • 1 3/4 cups of white granulated sugar (350g)

Step 2: Make Simple Syrup

First we need to make a simple syrup, to do this we will take 1 cup (236ml) of our 8 cups and add it to a pot. Then we will add all of our sugar. Next we will place the pot on the stove top and turn the heat to medium. Stir the sugar and water mixture periodically, until the mixture starts to boil and the sugar has completely dissolved. Now we remove it from the heat and let it cool to room temperature.

Step 3: Cut, Juice, Chill

While our simple syrup is cooling down we will juice our lemons. I am using a handy juicer but you can use whatever kind of juice you want, or just use your hands, if you do that you will want to use a strainer to catch the seeds. After juicing our lemons we should wind up with 1.5 cups of lemon juice if you want an extra lemon flavor add a few more lemons. So a total of 8 to 10 medium sized lemons. Next we will take our lemon juice and our simple syrup and place them in the refrigerator for 25 to 30 minutes.

Step 4: Combine, Stir, Serve

Now take the remaining 7 cups of water and pour it into your serving container. Next add the simple syrup and the lemon juice, then stir. It is ready to serve, simple as that. The reason why we make the simple syrup is because the sugar dissolves completely, if you just add sugar to water along with lemon juice the result will be a so-so lemonade. This makes amazing lemonade. :) Enjoy!
