Step 1: Get Off Your Butt
If you sit at home watching Netflix all break, it won't be memorable, exciting, or fun. You've got to get out there and DO SOMETHING!
Step 2: Make a Plan (Or Sign Up for Someone Else's)
I had nothing to do for Spring Break. Luckily my friend invited me to accompany her on a kayaking trip at Lake Powell.
Step 3: Don't Be Afraid to Make New Friends
I only knew one person going into this trip. It was a little intimidating, but I went for it anyway.
Step 4: Do Something Crazy
I've never been Kayaking. I figured better late than never! Not to mention, there were many other adventures along the way.
Step 5: See Some Incredible Things
There's plenty of beauty to discover. Once you're out there, it's hard not to see it.
Step 6: Don't Take Yourself Too Seriously
The only way to have a good time is learning to laugh at yourself.
Step 7: Come Home Happier, Stronger, and With a Few More Friends
In the end, it's all about the journey. What a great way to be out in nature, learning more about yourself, those around you, and the world that you live in.
