Apple Spice CupcakesI
Makes 1 dozen cupcakes
• 1 medium size apple
• 2 cups all-purpose flour
• 3/4 teaspoon salt
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 1/2 teaspoon allspice
• 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
• 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
• 1/2 teaspoon grated nutmeg
• 1 cup granulated sugar
• 1/2 cup light-brown sugar (packed)
• 1/2 cup unsalted butter (room temperature)
• 4 eggs (room temperature)
• 1 can vanilla icing
• Cupcake baking pan
• Electric Mixer
Step 1: Apple Spice Cupcakes - Step 1
Gather all your ingredients together and preheat your oven to 350° F. After you get the oven preheating, prepare your cupcake baking pan with paper liners.

Grab a bowl and whisk together your flour, salt, baking soda, allspice, cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg.

Use an electric mixer to cream your butter and add both sugars until pale and fluffy. Mix on medium speed and add eggs, one at a time. Once everything is mixed, reduce speed to low and add your flour mixture.

Take your batter and fill your cups three-quarters full. By the time your done filling the cups, the oven should be preheated. Put the cupcakes in the oven for about 20 minutes and make sure to rotate the pan halfway through.
Tip: Use an ice cream scooper to help you divide the batter evenly into the cups.

While your waiting for the cupcakes to bake, peel your apple and cut it into small cubes. Add 1 teaspoon of butter in a pan and cook your apples. Drizzle a little bit of cinnamon while cooking to give it some extra flavor. Cook the apples until they're soft.

Cupcakes should be ready now! Test to see if the inside cooked by placing a toothpick in the center. If it comes out clean, they're ready to be cooled. Leave the cupcakes on a wire rack to cool but do not remove them from the pan.

Cupcakes cooled, time to decorate! Take your frosting and spread it on nice and thin so it doesn't take away from the cupcake. Add your cooked apples and your done! Enjoy :)
