-2 Servo motors
I was inspired to build a butterfly after a video was shown in class by my teacher. I thought it would be a nice challenge to try and create my own version. My project is an electric butterfly that built with the help of Arduino. It is powered by an USB cable. The butterfly cannot fly but the wings move in a linear way. The purpose of the butterfly project is to give a good way to get familiar with Arduino, coding and building a circuit.
Step 1: Steps
1. Chose the right circuit to built
2. Code the Arduino
3. Built the circuit
4. Built the wings
5. Build the box to hold the circuit
6. Attach the wings and the body
Step 2: Conclusion
The coding was pretty easy to do, and the circuit was pretty simple to understand and built. The real problem was the art and craft part. Building the wings, body and attaching everything together. The wings were pretty big for the small servo motors. In the future, I would choose bigger servo motors and build my wings with wire instead of cardboard to make them more easily attachable.
