I want to start off by saying that this is a work in progress. I have been working on this for about 3 1/2 weeks now.
If you are going to make one of these you will need the following parts:
4 18 in. predrilled metal bars
2 AndyMark 12v 2.5 CIM motors
2 8 in. wheels with tires
1 arduino mega
2 belt drives
Step 1: The Frame
For the frame I used 4 18 inch predrilled metal bars. To put them together I used 8 90 degree gussets. For the handlebar I am going to use an 18 inch bar for the handle and a 40 inch bar for the part that attaches to the frame.
Step 2: The Arduino
The code that I am using I downloaded from the website https://www.sainsmart.com/products/instabots-self-balancing-robot-v2. I have run into an issue with this code though. While I was testing the code on a balancing bot, I found that the gyro doesn't get activated and it only moves in one direction.
