Introduction: Axe Prop
Hi we're Riley and Brooke and for our middle school technical theater prop project we made an axe. It's perfect for a play or as part of a Halloween costume.

Step 1: Materials
You will need an exacto knife, cardboard, glue, red paint, an old golf club, and aluminum foil.
Step 2: Step 1
Use a knife to cut the head off of the golf club and use sandpaper (optional) to smooth the edges on the club.
Step 3: Step 2
Use printer paper to create a stencil for what you want your axe head to look like. Then, trace the stencil twice on cardboard and cut them out. Glue them together.
Step 4: Step 3
Use tinfoil to cover the club handle. If necessary, glue down any loose edges.
Step 5: Step 4
Cover the cardboard axe head with foil. Again, you can glue down any rough edges.
Step 6: Step 5
Mix red paint with glue and paint the outer edge of the axe head. The glue helps the paint to stick to the foil. You may need to do two coats in order to have a solid color.
Step 7: Step 6
Use hot glue to affix the axe head to the club shaft. You may need to glue multiple times to make sure it doesn't fall off.
Step 8: Congratulations!
You have made your very own axe.
