This is my delicious recipe for awesome BBQ Chicken Wings (year round). Children love them eat them cold the next day.
With this recipe, there's no stressing over the weather or grilling "little" wings, falling between the grills, you bake/broil these wings your kitchen. These wings are tender and juicy and finger licking delicious!!!
Just last week, I emailed the picture of the ribs to my son who served in both wars (thank God Timm is home now safe). He said he still remembers the sauce it is he favorite and he has been all over the world.. He especially loved the sauce with the way I made chicken wings (recipe posted on home page), with it. I sent Timm the recipe, now he cooks them!!!

1 pkg. 2-1/2 lb. chicken wings split at joints, tips removed, I use scissors to
4 Tbsp. oil, (I used Canola Oil)
salt & pepper to taste
1 tsp. Spice Rub, (I use my own Spice Rub, the recipe posted on my homepage)
2 cups BBQ Sauce, your choice of flavor (I use my own BBQ sauce, the recipe posted on my homepage)
salt & pepper to taste
To prepare the wings, wings are essentially in three sections. The small skinny section is the part that is closest away from the body, and is most skin and bones, trim that end part off and discard the tip, or save for later use in a stock. Using a sharp knife or scissors, cut at the wing joints, you can kind of feel between the bones, on where to cut to making three separate parts.
In a medium bowl add wings. and drizzle with the canola oil, mixing well to completely coat the wings.
Line a baking rack (jelly roll pan works great) with heavy duty aluminum foil and then parchment paper. Place a nonstick cooling rack in pan, spray (both sides) evenly with a non stick spray.
Pre-heat the oven to 375°F.
Place chicken wing pieces on cooling rack side by side, skin side down. Season the chicken wing pieces with rub, salt and pepper.
Place wings in the oven and bake for 25 minutes.
Remove the wings rom oven and turn the chicken wing pieces over, seasoning with salt and pepper. Return to oven and bake another 20 minutes. Remove the chicken wing pieces from oven when a light golden color.
Turn oven setting to BROIL settings, placing oven rack up, the chicken wing pieces should be approximately 5 to 6 inches (12.5 to 15 cm) from the heat source.
While oven is preheating, heavily coat the chicken wing pieces with BBQ Sauce, I dip each wing directing in the sauce, covering the entire wing.
Broil the chicken wing pieces 5 minutes, and PLEASE to make sure to watch the chicken, so the sauce doesn’t burn.
Once the sauce looks slightly chard, carefully remove the chicken wings from oven.
