BEST Homemade Pecan Pie - By The Lighthouse Lady
I used fresh pecans from our trees. We were blessed with many pecans this year.

Homemade Pecan Pie
½ cup melted butter or margarine
1 cup sugar
1 cup light corn syrup
4 eggs, beaten
1 tsp vanilla
¼ tsp salt
1 cup chopped pecans
1 cup whole pecans
(1) 9” Deep pastry shell or (2) 8” regular pastry shell
Combine sugar, butter and syrup over low heat, stirring constantly
Until sugar is dissolved. Add eggs, vanilla, salt & chopped pecans mix well.
Pour into pastry shells, top with whole pecans & Bake.
Bake 50 to 55 minutes at 325 degrees.
Pie is ready when knife inserted halfway between center & edge comes out clean.
