Introduction: Bacon Seasoned Green Beans

A quick side dish made with bacon and frozen green beans.

Step 1: Gather Your Ingredients.

For this recipe, you will need:

· About 16 ounces of frozen cut green beans

· ½ of a sweet onion, chopped

· Four slices of bacon

· Salt and pepper

· A skillet, spatula, and stove top burner

Step 2: Cook Bacon.

Over medium heat, fry the bacon. Remove bacon from pan, and place on paper towels to cool and drain excess grease. You will use the reserved bacon later, so try not to nibble too much of it! Carefully pour grease from pan into a heat resistant container (an empty can works well). Leave a little grease in the pan. Wipe the bottom of the cooking pan, to prevent a grease fire, and return the pan to the stove burner.

Step 3: Add Other Ingredients.

Over medium heat, cook chopped onion until it is translucent. Add frozen green beans, and cook until beans are heated and well cooked, about 10-15 minutes. Stir frequently while cooking, and add more of the reserved grease as needed, to prevent sticking. Season the green beans with salt and pepper, as desired.

Step 4: Dinner Time!

Serve the beans, with crumbled bacon added as a delicious garnish.
