Introduction: Bag Clip Attachment

You ever brought a hoodie or shirt that you weren't gonna use immediately, but didn't wanna have to sift through your bag later on for it? Ever had more stuff than your backpack could hold? Well, this accessory can help solve just that.

You'll need:

  • 6mm acrylic, 8x10 cm
  • ABS plastic filament
  • 3 carabiner clips
  • A 3D printer
  • Laser cutter

Step 1: The Files

Download all the files for the production process.

Step 2: Making the Clip

The original clip was from Thingiverse but I modified it to make it more of an accessory style clip. 3D print 2 copies of the clip (scale it to your preferences), using ABS plastic at 0.2mm print quality.

Step 3: The Central Holder

Laser cut the central frame on a sturdy material. I personally used 6mm acrylic for mine. Attach the two clips to the holes on the sides of the holder.

Step 4: Ta-da!

Attach the clip system to your bag's handle, and you're ready to go!

Step 5: (Optional) Add Refining

You can add rubber to the clips to make it softer and higher friction if you want to hold less flexible items, such as handles.
