Shimano reels are awesome, and they tend to be able to cast very well. This is a simple 5-10 minute cleaning that you should do every time you go out and fish! This helps keep the reel oiled properly and also helps keep that spool spinning like the day you got it. In fact, I many times will get better performance out of my older reels then even the day I bought them after doing this to them. I love fishing with bait casters, however you have to make sure they are in top shape to be able to cast smaller baits.
