Introduction: Banana Chocolate Crepes Snack or Meal

They taste great and you may have most of the ingredients lying around your house. For these reasons, you might want to listen in on how to make our great creation.

This Instructable is just one of hopefully many to come from Dover Intermediate School in Westlake, Ohio. In Technology Literacy class students explore many components of technology. Step 1: Ingredients

The ingredients list below should yield 8 servings. Provide a snack for 8 people or a meal for 2-4 people. Or if you are alone, eat some now and save some for later!

  • Bananas
  • Chocolate drizzle
  • ⅔ Cup of Flour
  • 1 Pinch of Salt
  • 1 Cup of Milk
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 ½ teaspoons of Vegetable Oil
  • Powdered sugar

Step 2: Tools

As mentioned earlier, you may already have this stuff. No need for special tools like a jackhammer or cordless drill.

  • Pan
  • Stove
  • Blender
  • Refrigerator
  • Measuring Cup
  • Measuring Spoons

Step 3: Blend Batter

Blend flour, eggs, milk, vegetable oil, and salt in the blender until it is smooth.

Step 4: Chill Batter

  1. Poor all of the blended ingredients into a bowl and seal tightly.
  2. Put blended ingredients into refrigerator and leave it there for an hour.

Step 5: Pre Heat Pan

Heat a pan over medium-high heat and brush with oil.

Step 6: Pour Batter

Pour enough crepe batter into the pan to cover the surface of the pan.

Step 7: Cook - Flip - Repeat

Cook 2 to 5 minutes and flip when batter turns golden brown. Repeat with remaining batter.

Step 8: Cool the Crepes

Let the batter cool off for 5 to 10 minutes and put it on a plate. Repeat with remaining crepes.

Step 9: Go Bananas

  1. Slice a banana into small pieces and place it in a crepe.
  2. Fold the crepe with the banana in it and repeat with the rest of the crepes.

You can save crepes for later too. No need to prep them all now.

Step 10: Crepe Toppers

  1. Add as much powdered sugar as you like on top of the crepe.
  2. Drizzle as much chocolate syrup as you want on top of the crepe

Step 11: Eat and Enjoy!

Once you do all of these steps, then you will know how to make your own delicious crepes. You can also include other ingredients if you like.

Problem and Solution

One thing that we had a problem with was the stove. We kept on burning the crepes and then we had to start over. One thing that you can do to conquer this problem is keep an eye on the bottom of the crepe. Make sure that you flip the crepe when it gets to a golden brown color. Have fun making your own fantastic crepes.
