Banana Split Cupcakes




Introduction: Banana Split Cupcakes

1 box  dark chocolate fudge cake mix
1/2 cup dark cocoa powder
1 1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup vegetable oil
2 eggs
1/2 cup water
crushed walnuts
chocolate syrup
maraschino cherries
rainbow sprinkles

In a mixer combine cake mix and cocoa powder, blend. Add rest of ingredients and blend at medium speed for 2-3 minutes until well blended. Batter will be very thick.

Fill cupcake wrappers and bake at 325 for about 13 minutes or until down.


2 stick butter
1/2 cup vegetable shortening
1 teaspoon meringue powder
4 cups confectioners sugar
1 banana mashed

Blend softened butter and vegetable shortening , add meringue powder.  Once blended add confectioners sugar 1 cup at a time until well blended, add mashed banana. Blend again with mixer until smooth and fluffy.

Once cupcakes are cool frost , decorate with chocolate syrup, crushed walnuts, sprinkles and top with 1 cherry .
