Intro: Be Mine Cherry Treats

The fun thing about Valentines Day is that it inspires creativity to give that 'gift that truly comes from the heart'.

This is a rich but light, quick and easy treat to prepare that delights everyone young and old alike. It is safe and easy enough to make for young children or the bumbling wannabe cook with a big heart.

Almost like Cheesecake, fluffy like a Mousse it is appetizing to both the eye, satisfying
to the pallette and makes a nice dessert or late night snack to keep those sweet cravings
in cheque.

For those who are diabetic, fat, transfat conscious or just watching their weight change all the
ingredients to sugar free, fat free, low fat or low carb products - it tastes great either way!

2/3 c Boiling Water
1 four serving size box of Cherry Flavored Gelatin
1 c Cottage Cheese
1 eight ounce package Cream Cheese, cut into cubes

Step 2: Prepare Gelatin and Cream Cheese Mixture

Place Cottage Cheese and a little of the cooled Gelatin into a blender. Mix on high speed until very smooth. Add remaing Gelatin and blend again

Add Cream Cheese chunks, blend well.

Pour mixture into a large bowl.

Fold in Whipped Cream.

Step 3: Fill Your Cups and Decorate

Set up 5 or 6 plastic cups and fill with one cup of Mixture.

Tap cups gently on countertop to smooth mixture out.

Sprinkle crushed cookies or desired topping on.

Add heart shaped candy piece and insert a plastic spoon so it stands straight up.

Wrap from the bottom up with clear wrap and use a ribbon or tie to secure clear wrap around spoon. Add any other desired decorations.

Chill for at least four hours before serving.

Mmmm, looks good! I bet a bit of white chocolate shaved over the top would be tasty, too.
