This art project will teach you how to make a beach sunset in a wine glass. Not only is it simple, but it's also very easy to make. It also looks great hanging on walls.

Step 1: Materials
For this project you will need red, orange, white, pink, purple, yellow, and black paint, paint brushes, a glass of water, a pencil, and a canvas.
Step 2: Drawing the Wine Glass
For this step all you will need to do is draw a wine glass. If you can’t draw there is an alternative of printing an image of a wine glass off the internet and tracing it.
Step 3: Adding the Ground and the Trees
About 1/3 of the way down draw a line for the ground. For the main palm tree you can trace an image or draw it yourself just make sure you draw it close to the left of the glass but not directly. Finally for the leaves of the other palm tree simply draw three curved triangles on the middle left of the glass.
Step 4: Adding the Bench
It's really hard to explain how to draw the bench, so I hope you can copy of the picture. I am sorry.
Step 5: Adding the Ocean
Half the way up from the drinking part of the wine glass, draw a line. draw two lines with equal space between the sky line and the line between the ocean and the beach. This will be the ocean.
Step 6: Adding the Sun
Draw a circle on the right middle of the sky. Draw one slightly bigger circle around the first. This will represent the sun and it’s rays.
Step 7: Filling in the Ocean With Paint
Mix a small bit of red to your orange paint, and paint it on the line closest to the chair. Next paint the next line orange. Repeat this process until you paint all the lines.
Step 8: Filling in With Black Paint
Paint the stem of the glass, the chair, the ground, and the trees with black.
Step 9: Painting the Sky and the Sun
Mix red paint with a little less orange paint. Use this mixture to paint the sky. Paint the sun yellow, and it’s ray with orange.
Step 10: Painting the Outter Border
For this step simply draw a big circle around the the glass, and paint it in with your color of choice. I choose purple because I thought it would go nicely, but it really doesn’t matter what color you choose as long as it’s what you want it to be.
Step 11: Filling in the Inner Border
For the inner border choose a color similar to the outer one. Since I chose purple for my outer I chose pink for my inner. So if you chose green for your outer you could choose yellow for your inner. Really the inner just has to be lighter than the outer. With your color of choice paint the inside of the circle. I hope all of this makes sense, but if it doesn’t please let me know in the comments section and I can help.
