Beaded Ruby Choker

Introduction: Beaded Ruby Choker

About: I live on a ranch in central B.C. with animals. I play the violin, viola, cello and piano and I love making exotic crafts.

Hello everyone. This is the first time I've ever done a jewelry thing, so I hope that I've explained it properly.

Step 1: Materials

Things you'll need,

Fish line or tiger wire

Red beads

Small silver beads

Pearl beads

Seed beads

Clear nail polish

Keep on repeating pictures 1 to 4 until you reach the desired length.

Step 2: Adding the Pendants

After tying all knots put on a drop of nail polish to hold the knots. Hope you enjoy it! Cheerio!

This is beautiful. Please can you advise what length to cut the thread.

I actually never measured it. Just measure it around your own neck and make sure you cut an extra six inches, just to be on the safe side. =;)

Thanks! Show me a picture of it when you're finished! I'd love to see it!

So I tweaked the design a lot, which of course caused some unforseen complications and it turned out a bit stiff, but overall I'm happy with it as it is my first self-made necklace. Should have taken less beads for the small rows between the main rows. I'll probably re-do it someday and tweak it some more. The pixel-y picture shows how the threads (for the lack of a better word, sorry, foreign) run through the beads.

Wow! You did a great job! It looks beautiful! I like the little hearts!

I showed how I did that in the video. I tied the end of the thread to the clasp, and then threaded it through the bottom row of beads until I got under the first ruby. I'll redo the video so that you can see it better.
