Step 1: Ingredients

This is a great recipe which only takes four ingredients!

  • 1 egg
  • 1/8 cup water
  • 3/8 cup peanut butter (make sure it doesn’t contain xylitol, it is toxic to dogs)
  • 1 1/2 cups wheat flour

Step 2: Prep

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and preheat your oven to 350° Fahrenheit. Get out your stand mixer and a cutting board.

Step 3: Combine Ingredients

In your stand mixer, beat egg, water, and peanut butter until creamy, about 1 minute. Gradually, add flour, and beat until just combined.

Step 4: Cut Dough

Lightly flour a cutting board, and knead the dough 5 times until it sticks to itself. Roll the dough to 1/4 inch thickness. Using a knife or cookie cutters, cut the dough into bones or whatever shape you want to make. If you are making larger shapes, poke the cookies with a fork in the center to avoid expanding. Place cookies on baking sheet.

Step 5: Bake and Cool

Bake the cookies at 350° Fahrenheit for 20 minutes until golden. Let cool for 5 minutes on baking sheet, then transfer to cooling racks to cool completely.

Step 6: Enjoy!

Let your dog go crazy for these delicious and healthy treats!

If your dough isn’t sticking, add a little bit of water.
