20

This cornbread is a unique take on the traditional cornbread except for the use of blue agave instead of the traditional sugar.

Supplies:

3 Tablespoons of Organic Raw Blue Agave

Disposable loaf pan

1/1/4 cup yellow cornmeal

1 cup all purpose flour

1 tablespoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

3/4 cup 2% milk

1/4 cup melted Land O'Lakes butter

1 egg

Step 1: Mix the Dry Ingredients

Combine the yellow cornmeal, flour, salt, pepper, butter and baking powder in a bowl.

Step 2: Add the Wet Ingredients

To the combined dry ingredients, add the egg, blue agave, melted butter and milk. Mix well.

Step 3: Add the Mixture Into a Greased Loaf Pan

Grease your loaf pan with butter. Add the mixture in. Put the loaf pan into the middle rack of a 400 degree preheated oven. Bake 35-40 minutes.

Step 4: Let the Cornbread Cool

Let the cornbread cool and then remove for serving.
