Step 1: Ingredients for the Recipe...
Few decorative patterned paper/plastic(preferably thick):- I used few invitation cards.
Ribbons( long as much as you need it ,according to your books)
A punch hole tool.
A pair of scissors.
A little flame to seal the edge of the ribbons.
Step 2: Choose the Pattern You Want .
Choose or make the pattern you want on colored paper...
Iin the third picture I am trying to make a pattern on the paper...'what pattern?' - 'well you will get to know.'
Step 3: Scissors Time...
Cut out the pattern and as much you want.
I am cutting out a shorter row than provided.(i.e. as much as I want) in the second picture.
Step 4: Punch Holes...
Punch holes on the cut outs where needed. I used the top part because it will be easier to use, the slender part is on towards the bottom.Just use the basic Idea of the 'portrait' and 'landscape' orientation.
Step 5: Hint You Can Avoid ;)
The holes punched. Also you may guess the pattern I cut out of the purple card.
Step 6: Cut and Pull Through.
Cut the ribbon long enough to make a double ended strap connected to the bookmark.Pull the ribbon through the hole punched.
Step 7: Pull in Through the Loop.
After putting the two strands through the hole pull it out through the loop created , as shown.
Step 8: Seal the Edges.
Seal the edges carefully. The nylon ribbons catch fire very fast! so keep them at a distance from the flame and they will seal.
Step 9: Suspense Release!!!
You have made your very own book marks!!!! Use them as desired . :)
