Introduction: Bronze Dragonfly

Its a bronze dragonfly made out of paper strips. If you slip it into a chain it makes a lovely pendant.

Step 1: The Supplies

All you need are some 3mm wide dark brown paper strips, quilling needle, glue, bronze metallic paint and paper varnish.

Step 2: The Main Body

roll two strips of paper into circle as shown in the picture.

Step 3: The Head

for the head roll a single strip of paper and then place it on top of the main body

Step 4: Tail and the Eyes

For the tail make four circles of half the strip of the paper (they should be smaller than the head). And for the eyes use 1/4 strip of the paper. Keep the center of the eyes hollow.

Step 5: The Wings

For the wings take one whole strip of paper and make four loops the one in the center being the tallest and the one at the edge being the shortest. Then roll the rest of the paper around the loops to hold them together. Make four such wings and place them on both sides of the main body.

Step 6: Glue Them Together

Now glue everything together as shown in the picture.

Step 7: Paint and Varnish

Now paint the dragonfly with bronze metallic paint. Once the paint dries apply a coat of varnish and its done. This dragonfly looks great as a pendant.
