Introduction: Brown Sugar Sourcream Grapes

Whether it is avocado truffles, grilled cheese and jelly, or olive oil ice cream, some surprising combinations can actually end up being quite tasty. But what about grapes, sourcream, and... brown sugar? Sure enough, this mouthwatering mixture will leave you coming back for more. With three simple ingredients and five minutes of your time, you can create a healthy snack or an impressive dessert.

Step 1: Ingredients

Make sure that you have all of the ingredients:

Serves 4-5 people

  • 4 cups- fresh green grapes
  • 2 cups- sour cream
  • ~1/2 cup- brown sugar

All of the ingredient amounts are estimates, as everyone will have slightly different preferences.

Step 2: Mix!

If you haven't already, remove the stems from your grapes and wash in cold water. Pat dry with paper towels. Divide the grapes into four or five different bowls, about one cup per bowl.

Add about 1/2 cup of sour cream to each bowl and stir until the grapes are coated evenly. Sprinkle in a spoonful of brown sugar and stir. Add more sugar to taste.

I prefer to put the brown sugar and sour cream into serving bowls and let people mix to their own taste (that's the fun part)!

Step 3: Enjoy!

And that's it! Once people are convinced that this isn't a sickly combination, they will be begging for more. It is advised that extra ingredients are available in case of high demand!

Variations:

  • Instead of brown sugar, use brown sugar and maple oatmeal. This will make the dessert taste like (healthy) oatmeal cookie dough!
  • Try purple grapes instead.
  • Experiment with different ratios of ingredients until you find the combination that suits you!
