This easy, step-by-step guide to brownie sundae cups will help you make an incredibly simple yet amazing dessert. After baking the brownies in a special mold, you’ll be able to fill the cups with ice cream to make a sundae or anything else you desire such as mouse or icing.
Step 1: Supplies
You will need one box of brownie mix, ingredients called for on box of mix,one cupcake pan, 12 cupcake liners, nonstick oil spray, dried beans such as lentils, and ice cream.
Step 2: Prepare Brownie Batter
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Then use a box mix to prepare brownie batter. You can also make homemade brownie batter.
Step 3: Make Brownie Cups
Spray cupcake pan liberally with nonstick oil mist. This is very important. Then fill each cup with 1/4 cup of brownie batter.
Step 4: Prepare Cupcake Liners
Mist 12 cupcake liners liberally with nonstick oil spray. Then gently press each liner, oil side down, into the Batter filled cupcake pan. Add dried beans into the cupcake liners until 3/4 full and nicely weighed down. Wiggle the liner around each cup.
Step 5: Bake
Place the pan into the preheated oven and bake for 20 minutes.
Step 6: Cool and Unmold
Remove pan from oven after 20 minutes. Let cool for 10 minutes, then remove cupcake liners gently from each cup. Discard liners and dried beans. Carefully run a butter knife around each cup to remove the brownies.
Step 7: Fill With Ice Cream
Once the brownies have cooled to room temp, fill with ice cream and your favorite sundae toppings. Enjoy!
