This is my version of i dispensor i saw in boys life
Step 1: Gather Materials
1. 2.. 2*4 7in long
2. 2.. 8.5 in long by 7in wide
3. 2.. 13in long 1.5in wide
1/2" drill bit
1 1/2" screws
Jar with lid that fits well (I used a pickle jar)
I used scrap wood the import part is that the top and bottom boards are the same lengh as the 2*4s and the center together
Step 2: Framing It Out
Attach 2x4's to the bottom square leaving enough space to insert the handle. Place 2 screws on either side of the 2x4's to hold it in place.
Step 3: Attach the Top
Screw top square in place by putting a screw in each of the 4 corners.
Step 4: Attaching the Dispenser
Put a 1/2" hole in the center of the top piece of wood. Put a 1/2" hole in the center of the jar's lid. Using some small screws, line up the holes and attach the lid to the wood.
*CAREFUL: METAL IS SHARP*
Step 5: Handle Placement
Insert the handle leaving 1/2" space in the back. Mark through the hole in the top where you want the hole in your handle. Take out the handle and drill 1/2" hole into the handle, but DO NOT DRILL ALL THE WAY THROUGH. If you do, your candy will fall out.
Place a screw in the back of the handle to stop the handle from sliding out when you pull it. Place a screw in the front so you can pull the handle out easily.
Step 6: Finish
Sand everything down to your liking. Paint if you want it to feel pretty.
Fill your jar with candy (something smaller than 1/2" like jelly beans or chocolate chips)
Invert the wooden part and screw your jar on.
Flip right-side-up, pull out the handle, and eat your candy!
To make festive for Halloween, gut a large pumpkin large enough to fit over your jar. Paint a face on the pumpkin.
