Introduction: Cardboard Microphone Pop Filter

Hello,

In this instructable I want to show you how to make a cardboard microphone pop filter.

Step 1: Things You Will Need

- Cutter

- Glue

- Sponge

- scissors

- Screwdriver

- Measuring tools

Step 2: Unboxing

The box is made of corrugated cardboard.

Inside the box you find a microphone and the microphone holder.

Step 3: Cut Out a Space for the Micophone Holder.

First check where the microphone should come.

Position and sketch some lines.

Measure the thickness and length of the holder. In my case the thickness was 6 mm and the length 40mm. Measure and draw te lines were it should be cut. Make sure you draw them in the center.

Cut the cardboard out with the cutter.

You need to get the screw out of the holder with the screwdriver. Put the upper side of the holder trough the cardboard and attach the upper and lower pieces of the holder back together with the screw.

Step 4: Cable Hole

Cut out a hole for the cable.

Step 5: Make the Pop Filter

Cut out the opposite side of the cable hole.

Measure this piece and cut the same size out of the sponge. Now you have a Sponge Bob look-a-like. But spongebob is a little bit too fat for our filter so we make him thinner. I choose for a thickness of 15 mm.

Now glue the sponge on the correct place. .

Step 6: Finish

All you have to do is place the microphone in the holder, connect the cable, close the box and sing!
