I don't know about you, but my favorite desserts are cheesecake and cookies. So I thought I'd put them together!
Step 1: Gather Your Dishes, Compliances, and Ingredients
Time to search your kitchen to find the dishes and ingredients you need!
- Electrical Mixer
- Measuring Cups
- Measuring Spoons
- Plastic Spatula
- 1/2 cup of White Sugar
- 1 Egg
- 8 oz Cream Cheese
- 1 cup of Flour (I used gluten free)
- 1/2 cup of White Sugar for cheesecake mix
- 1 Egg White
- 2 Tbsp of Butter
- 2 Tbsp of Applesauce
- 1/2 cup of Brown Sugar
- 1/8 tsp of Salt
- 1/2 cup of Chocolate Chips
I used Gina's cookie recipe from skinnytaste.com
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees celsius
Step 2: Make the Cheescake
Measure out your white sugar, egg, and cream cheese. Add the ingredients one at a time starting with the sugar, then the cream cheese, and finishing with the egg.
It should be mixed to a smooth constancy. Once it's done, put it aside in a bowl and clean the mixer bowl.
Step 3: Measure Out Wet and Dry Ingredients for Cookies
Measure out the wet and dry ingredients.
- 1 cup of flour
- 1/4 tsp of baking soda
- 1/8 tsp of salt
Mix them all together gently using a fork.
- 1 egg white
- 2 tbsp of butter
- 2 tbsp of applesauce
- 1/2 cup of white sugar
- 1/2 cup of brown sugar
Step 4: Mix Wet Ingredients Then Add Dry
Mix wet ingredients by adding them one at a time. Once it's completely mixed, add the dry ingredients 1/2 cup at a time. If needed, use the spatula to to push down remaining flour into the batter. Once mixed, add chocolate chips and mix.
Step 5: Layer in the Pan
Get some spray (ex. pam), wax paper, and a 9 x 9 pan. Spray the your pan to avoid sticking.
To layer the cheesecake cookies, you'll start with cookies on the bottom. Pour the entire cookie batter in the bottom of the pan. If needed, smooth it out using wax paper. After, pour the cheesecake batter on top of the cookie.
Put the cheesecake cookies in the oven, which is set at 350 degrees, for about 30-40 minutes. Cook until golden brown on top.
Step 6: Cook, Cut, and Eat
Take the cookies out and let them cool for about 10 minutes. Cut them into squares and place them on a plate to cool further.
There you go, now you have cheesecake cookies!
