Chili Chicken Recipe

A chili chicken is a popular Asian cuisine made with boneless chicken, capsicum, onion, garlic, chili sauce, and soy sauce. It is full of flavor and very easy to make it at home.

In this instructable I am going to share my recipe for chili chicken as well as my steps to make it recipe.

Step 1: Ingredients

  • Boneless Chicken
  • ½ teaspoon salt and pepper
  • ½ sugar
  • ½ cup corn flour
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon ginger/ garlic paste
  • 1 green sliced chili (optional)
  • 1 green capsicum
  • 2 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoon tomato puree
  • ½ cup water
  • Cooking Oil

Step 2: Preparation

  • The first step to prepare this recipe, add boneless chicken, salt& pepper, paprika, ginger/garlic paste, soy sauce, corn flour, and water to a mixing bowl for margination
  • Then mix all the ingredients properly. After mixing all the ingredients well, keep aside the marinated chicken for 20-25 mins in the fridge
  • The next step is to prepare the sauce. To make a sauce, add soy sauce, chili sauce, red paprika, sugar and mix them well

Step 3: Frying Chicken

  • First, heat the oil in a pan in a high flame for a deep fry. The oil must be hot enough and chicken should not stick on the pan

  • After the oil is heated, add marinated chicken in a small quantity (one by one)

  • Now, fry the chicken on the medium heat until it is crispy and cooked properly

  • Then,set aside the fried chicken in a bowl and drain the excess oil from it

Step 4: Making Chili Chicken

  • This is the final step for this recipe, heat 1 tablespoon cooking oil in a pan
  • Add ginger/garlic paste, sliced onion, capsicum, green chili and cook it for 2-3 minutes. Don’t overcook the veggies
  • Then, add the sauce that is prepared before and mix it well with the veggies
  • After mixing sauce to the veggies, sprinkle some salt and pepper if needed

  • Lastly, add all the fried crispy chicken to the sauce and mix it
    properly

  • Cook it for 2- 3 minutes in a medium flame until the chicken is coated well with the sauce

  • Garnish chili chicken with some fresh chopped coriander

  • Now the chili chicken is ready
