Introduction: Chinese Crown Knot Cross

The shape of the Chinese crown knot lends itself to this project

Step 1:

I used 3' of 3/16" cord.

Take the right hand strand over the left

Step 2:

and make a bight underneath the same cord

Step 3:

Take the other strand and bring it up underneath three - and down over two and through the bight

Step 4:

Adjust the bight to the desired shaape

Step 5:

Take the left hand cord and make a "S" shape

Step 6:

Bring the end up and down over, under, over the "S"

Step 7:

Then up under three

Step 8:

Then down over two and through the bight. Adjust the size of the loop

Step 9:

Take the right hand cord and make a "S"

Step 10:

And bring the end up and down over, under, and over the "S"

Step 11:

Bring the cord up under the three strands of the "S"

Step 12:

and down over two and through the bight. Adjust the size of the loop

Step 13:

Bring the right hand cord over . . .

Step 14:

And make a bight under the other cord

Step 15:

Bring that other cord up under three

Step 16:

and down over two and through the bight

Step 17:

repeat the above steps making two more crowns

Step 18:

There are many ways to finish.

Leave the ends alone.
